Protein and Peptide Purification
The purification of peptides from synthetic reaction mixtures or natural sources can be challenging. Among all possible purification strategies, Reverse Phased Chromatography resin based packings have been used to advantage in many applications.
Rohm and Haas company has developed a full range of media for reverse phased chromatography under the Amberchrom™ trademark.
Amberchrom chromatographic resins have unique surface chemistries which offer distinctive selectivity for biomolecules. Amberchrom resins are available in two families based on either a methacrylate or styrenic selectivity.
A variety of particle (35 - 75 - 120) and pore sizes are offered in each group.
Rohm and Haas Company offers large scale production of these products and regulatory support to aid you in drug approval filings.
For more conventional chromatography, Rohm and Haas has a full product line of ion exchange resins, adsorptive media, and unfunctionalized resins for size exclusion applications.
Media: Amberlite XAD1600N, Amberlite FPC3500, Amberlite FPA53,
Amberlite FPA40 Cl, Amberlite FPA90 Cl
These products are available in small packaging and can be purchased from our WEBSTORE.

The Effect of Mobile Phase Additives on the Analysis of Peptides and Proteins.
Abstract: Polymeric RP-HPLC columns, AMBERCHROM™ PROFILE™, were used for the separation of peptide and protein mixtures. These columns were packed with a 10µm, monosized, styrene/divinylbenzene polymer. The separations were conducted under a variety of mobile phase conditions where the type and concentration of mobile phase additives were varied. The results were compared to those obtained on conventional, pre-packed, silica RP-HPLC columns. AMBERCHROM™ PROFILE™ columns demonstrated superior separations over a wider range of mobile phase conditions. This allowed simplified mobile phases and more flexibility in separation conditions.
